Just talk with my sweetheart over the phone. Now I have to back to work…kinda tired for doing biofilm study, is tedious, dangerous and inconsistent. What to do, this is life….

I have to move on.

Recently yoga was banned for muslims in Malaysia. Tell me you are just kidding.

With a superficial mentality, Malaysia will still far lack behind the civilized world.

No offence Professor Zakaria, but you forget to mention or suggest to your fellow Muslims:

Taekwondo SHOULD be banned because there’s elements and conceptual of Taoism: Taeguk that we practice was based of form of Ba-Gua in I-Ching.

Akido/hapkido SHOULD be banned because there’s elements and conceptual of Buddhism.

Taichi SHOULD be banned because is a mixture of Chinese culture and Taoism concepts.

Reiki SHOULD be banned because there’s elements of Shintoism.

Ayuveda medicine SHOULD be banned because there’s elements of Hinduism.

SEX SHOULD be banned because many postures was “copied” from KAMA SUTRA.

Meditation SHOULD be banned because BUDDHIST practice so.

etc

Mufti Dr Asri Zainul Abidin, didn’t you mention tai chi, judo and taekwondo were picked up from other cultures and these sports did not have anything to do with Islam but have been practised because of its known health benefits, did you? [Source: http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/11/25/nation/2637011&sec=nation] I hope you can approach those fellas in Jakim to accept Yoga because of the health benefit.

Still, many people had practice yoga and obtain good health, included cancer survivor. I think “those people” who claim yoga is bad should give yoga a try. IMHO, their blood circulation was slow down and obstruct the oxygen flow to the brain, and had caused their brain unable to think rationate, and give such stupid statement. Strange enough, there are still people who agree with it.

I’m lucky that I’m a Buddhist; the ban was not applied on me. I learn my yoga lesson from Buddhist association I had attended. Yet, I still didn’t sense any change in my religion believe.

I wonder why RTM and information department want to clarify fatwa instead of Yoga. Seems that they did not and never bothered to investigate on this issue and want to simply get over with it.

Let’s see what will happen next.

What say you?
